The New Austin Central Library is one of the hottest new locations to visit in Austin, Texas. The library is home to numerous fantastic exhibits that rotate on a regular basis and is operated by the City of Austin and welcomes in countless visitors on a daily basis.
The New Austin Central Library replaced the old Faulk Central Library in 2017.
Now, the library is operating at full capacity and is a popular location for both residents and visitors alike.
The New Austin Central Library is home to numerous attractions. Some of the notable locations within the building include a living rooftop garden with a diverse array of wildlife, countless reading porches, a reading room in the interior, enormous event spaces both inside and outside of the building, a bicycle corral, a gift shop, a beautiful art gallery, and even a cafe.
The library is also home to a wide variety of technological gadgets that visitors can explore, nicknamed the technology petting zoo. Its home is on the fifth floor at the top of Harry-Potter style stairs where individuals and families can try a Google Home, a large-scale 3D printer, and even Phillips Hue smart lights.
